Oliver Oakes becomes the second youngest F1 team principal in history.
The Briton will start his role with Alpine after the summer break, following Bruno Famin's decision to step down, which was announced at the Belgian Grand Prix.
At 36, Oakes becomes the second youngest team principal in F1 history. Christian Horner remains the youngest appointment, being just 31 when he was hired to lead Red Bull in 2005. "The team has talented people and excellent resources at its core, and I am confident that we can accomplish a great deal together during the remainder of this season and the longer term.
