A new 78ft high thrill ride allows spectators to stand directly underneath it
Alton Towers theme park has announced a new thrilling attraction named Toxicator. The top spin ride can accommodate more than 500 riders per hour and is the only spin ride to be elevated above ground level.
The Toxicator spins guests with centrifugal forces from intense spin patterns. Park goers are seated back-to-back before being flipped round and held face down above a "bubbling pool of highly toxic alien acid".
