Alton Towers Resort is introducing Toxicator, a groundbreaking top-spin ride set to be the tallest in the world, standing at an impressive 78ft. Located in Forbidden Valley, Toxicator will immerse riders in a thrilling experience, challenging them with extreme spin patterns and centrifugal forces. The ride, inspired by the Nemesis storyline, utilizes technology from the fictional organization, The Phalanx, to extract toxic saliva from the Nemesis creature.
A first-of-its-kind ride is coming to Alton Towers Resort and has been aptly titled Toxicator. Accommodating up to 500 riders an hour, the spinning ride will stand at 78ft tall, making it the highest top-spin ride in the world. Set on a 16ft platform, onlookers can watch as riders are subjected to heart-pounding centrifugal forces and extreme spin patterns. Bianca Sammut, vice president of Alton Towers Resort, said: “As the UK’s only topspin ride, we’re excited to welcome Toxicator to the park.
“We can’t wait to challenge thrill seekers to submit to the spin. Located in the heart of Forbidden Valley, this is the latest chapter in the Nemesis story which has captivated generations of thrill seekers worldwide.' Toxicator riders are seated back-to-back before being flipped round and held face down above a ‘bubbling pool of highly toxic alien acid’. Suitable for riders over 1.4m, the 16ft platform allows guests to walk underneath Toxicator in a world-first. Following the park's Nemesis story, the ride is the latest technology from the fictional organisation known as The Phalanx and is used by them to extract toxic saliva from the Nemesis creature. Fittingly, the ride is located next to the iconic Nemesis Reborn. Toxicator features green-lit water fountains on either side of the ride for onlookers to enjoy. A teaser trailer of the new attraction was unveiled in a TV advert earlier this week. The Toxicator announcement comes after a planning application was submitted for another ride in Alton Tower's CBeebies land earlier this month, Stoke On Trent Live reports. The other new ride is set to be a 'junior rollercoaster' aimed at young children and is expected to open to the public in 2026. Alton Towers shared the news on Instagram that a planning application had been submitted by Merlin Entertainments to Staffordshire Moorlands District Council. Yet to be approved by the council, users are hoping that the new ride will be Bluey themed. The park already offers a live experience with the Australian hit-show's lovable characters
