The Sherlock star has suffered with bowel problems for over thirty years but has finally found a 'cure' thanks to her partner, Jonathan Goodwin.
Amanda Abbington has opened up about her debilitating health battle with irritable bowel syndrome which she suffered with for over three decades.
Despite what medical research says, Amanda claims to have found her own 'cure' for the functional gastrointestinal disorder. The actress admitted she was hesitant at first but eventually agreed and Jonathan "put her under" for around 20 minutes.She said: "I don’t feel bloated, I don’t feel low, I don’t feel tearful, I could eat a massive bowl of pasta and I’m not feeling ill. He’s just taken it away... I thought I was going to have IBS for the rest of my life, now I don’t think I am."
It seems the hypnotism may have put some of Amanda's anxieties regarding an IBS flare up on the BBC show at ease ahead of her Strictly journey last year.
