It's here! The official Amazon 2023 Christmas advert is now out for us all to watch - and it's wonderful watch. Bonus points if you are a fan of the Beatles and their music too.
The official Amazon Christmas advert is now out with it having been shown across TV screens last night during the ad breaks as Coronation Street aired. This year's ad shows how joyful holiday moments are made and how they're even more special when they’re shared - and having fun doesn’t have to stop as you get older.
Against this musical score the three stars gather on a park bench and sip hot drinks, watching as playful children and teenagers sledge down the hill in their local park. While the world around them whizzes by, the friends stay seated, quiet and still. But not for long. “This year’s Christmas campaign is inspired by our Amazon customers and their thoughtful ideas and traditions,” said Jo Shoesmith, VP Global CCO, Amazon.
Annie O’Donnell, one of Maya’s lifelong friends in the story, said: “At our age, it’s not uncommon to be typecast. And, while I will happily play the role of someone’s sweet grandmother, it is always exciting to be able to show a different side. An opportunity to shake of preconceptions and show we are not just ‘young at heart’ but still throwing ourselves into life”.
