A judge in Spain has signed a warrant that would allow for illegal streamers to be identified.
Amazon Fire Stick users have been given a warning after a judge in Spain approved a warrant that will let people find out the IP addresses of those who stream illegally. This is happening as part of a big effort to stop illegal streaming in Spain.
Internet companies will now have to share the IP addresses of people who stream illegally. A legal expert, Lynette Calder, has warned: "For more serious and organised offending that went to the crown court you are talking a maximum of up to 10 years in prison if the charge is under section 7 or 5 years for section 6 and 11."
The news was first shared by El Pais after they got to see the court order from a Barcelona court in February, reports Birmingham Live. El Pais said that the court has allowed La Liga to go after "private users who consume protected audiovisual content through IPTV."
