E-commerce giant on the hook for 480MW of power from Susquehanna plant

The deal marks Amazon's latest investment in carbon-free and renewable energy to power its growing datacenter footprint. Last month the e-commerce leviathana power purchase agreement with a wind farm in Gilliam County, Oregon. The operation, run by Avangrid, involves 40 turbines capable of churning out a combined 90 megawatts of power, or about 2.4 megawatts each – when the wind is blowing just right.
