Shoppers said they bought the budget dryer to save on heating bills with one saying it 'doubles as a radiator'
Amazon is selling a budget clothes dryer for under £40 that shoppers have praised for helping to keep rooms warm while they try to save on electricity and heating bills. The Oypla Electric Extendable Heated Folding Clothes Horse Airer Dryer has 20 aluminium bars to hang laundry on to dry, air damp clothes - or just warm up items like towels.
"I think we had the heater on for 1 hour total. I then put our clothes on it, put the heater on for 1 hour and left over night and everything was dry in the morning. Obviously it doesn’t dry clothes instantly which it appears some of the negative reviews were saying, but I’m pleasantly surprised with it, and will keep using."
"The dryer does dry the clothes/bedding on the heated lines first, then you have to move the items around to ensure they are fully dry, as an added bonus, it also raises the temp in the room you are using it in. Drying clothes and bedding straight from the spin cycle is not quick but does the job." Some reviewers shared concerns about how long it took their clothes to dry and said items needed to be moved around for the best results. Others said it was tricky to fold and put away.A customer who did not leave their name said: "It does dry clothes slightly quicker, but requires you to move the clothes around several times a day so the wet parts touch the heated bars. The design is also not that great.
