An AMBER Alert has been cancelled for a missing 3-year-old boy in Jefferson County after he was found safe, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.

JCSO says around 12:28 a.m. Monday morning, Forestdale patrol units responded to the 100 block of Dewberry Lane on reports of a person shot. When deputies arrived, they discovered a 31-year-old woman walked to a nearby fire station to seek medical treatment for an apparent gunshot wound. Regional Paramedics Services transported the victim to UAB Hospital. JCSO says the victim’s injury is not considered life-threatening.
