A woman who suffered a fall in Nottingham city centre was left lying on a tram track for almost two hours before an ambulance arrived. Emergency services were called to Long Row near Old Market Square at 4.03pm on Tuesday, January 28, after the woman reportedly tripped over the rail tracks.
East Midlands Ambulance Service, which declared its first-ever critical incident earlier this month, said its crews remain "incredibly busy". A spokesperson said the woman was taken to the Queen's Medical Centre but added they were unable to provide any further details due to rules over patient confidentiality.
Its operator, Nottingham Express Transit , said at the time: "Due to a medical emergency we have no service between Royal Centre and Nottingham Station. We have cross-ticket acceptance on the green line NCT buses."
