Get your jump split impressions ready, because Netflix says America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders season 2 is happening. The docuseries, which followed the Cowboys’ iconic cheerleaders through one entire season from auditions to the last game, was a fan favourite upon its release and turned people into DCC fans all over the nation. Now, Netflix has confirmed that their cameras have been capturing the team as they embarked a new season.
Who will be featured in season 2? While we aren’t sure yet who will be the standout stars on the show, we do know that some season 1 favourites have moved on. Breakout star Victoria Kalina retired from the DCC and moved to New York, and other cheerleaders, such as Kelcey Wetterberg, also retired at the end of season 1. Beyond that, it sure seems as though Reece Weaver will have a big role this season, since she is prominently featured in the first teaser image released of the show.
