The airline said in a post on X at 6:37 a.m. that 'We're currently experiencing a technical issue with all American Airlines flights.' Responding to someone asking about the timeframe, the airline said its team is currently working on the issue and no timeframe has been provided. Massport said in an email shortly before 8 a.m. that American was having 'an IT issue' but it seems to have been resolved and flights are now being boarded. But not before over 10 flights at Logan and more than 700 across the country were delayed. 'As soon as I arrived, I realized they delayed my flight,' said Emmanuel Adomfeh, who is flying to Philadelphia. 'We returned our rental car and we saw the notification and we were like, 'Oh no.'' American Airlines said in a statement shortly before 9 a.m. that 'a vendor technology issue' impacted systems needed to release flights. They said the issue has been resolved and all flights have resumed. 'We sincerely apologize to our customers for the inconvenience this morning,' the statement said. 'It's all hands on deck as our team is working diligently to get customers where they need to go as quickly as possible.
