The American College of Physicians issued new guidelines for Type 2 diabetes treatment, which for the first time recommends the use of GLP-1 s and another class of diabetes drugs called SGLT-2s alongside metformin, though this may exacerbate the ongoing drug shortages of several GLP-1 s.
