An American woman living in Yorkshire, England, is planning a farewell tour of the UK before returning to the United States. She turned to TikTok for travel recommendations, seeking both popular attractions and hidden gems.

An American living in northern England is seeking travel advice as she plans a farewell tour of the UK before returning to the United States. The UK offers a wealth of stunning locations, from the enigmatic Stonehenge and historic Edinburgh Castle to the rugged expanse of Hadrian's Wall, the picturesque Camber Sands beaches, and the breathtaking Lake District. There's a treasure trove of must-see sights catering to every taste.

An American residing in Yorkshire with her British husband and children, known on TikTok as @yorkshirepeach, is soon to relocate back across the Atlantic. The family currently calls Leeds, West Yorkshire, home, but will soon be residing in the US once again. Anticipating their departure, the mother has turned to social media for travel tips. In her widely viewed video, she explained, 'So, I'm moving back to America soon, and with that, there are so many places, even though I've lived here for a while, there are so many places that I still haven't seen in Europe.' Despite years in the region, she acknowledges there's much left unexplored and shared her enthusiasm to experience all the 'must-see' spots. Having compiled a list from close friends, she reached out to the TikTok community to confirm those picks while also seeking recommendations for 'hidden gems.' She said, 'There are so many beautiful places literally at our doorstep here that I don't want to miss before going home.' The mother revealed she's been overwhelmed with suggestions from friends. While some proposed the more 'obvious' and 'touristy' spots like Paris, her heart was set on uncovering 'hidden gems.' Her friends' list spanned an array of cities including Bruges, Rome, Barcelona, Athens, Amsterdam, Valencia, Glasgow, and a number of other enticing locales. Her video resonated with many, garnering nearly 2,000 comments eagerly offering even more must-visit destinations. Among the many charming places proposed, one country emerged as a clear favourite – Scotland. Commenters echoed their Scottish love, with remarks such as: 'Scottish Highlands are one to see' and 'Yeah come to Scotland. Skye is beautiful!' Others praised the grandeur of the Scottish Highlands and the allure of the Isle of Skye, Scotland. Another suggested: 'The Isles of Scilly and Scotland.' Someone else commented: 'Scotland - Loch Ness, etc drive through or even Orkney, Barra some of the islands are beautiful'. Other notable mentions by users included Northern Ireland, Wales, Budapest, and Bath among the many choices. Nonetheless, some followers seemed equally intrigued, if not more, by her eventual return to the USA. One person said: 'Going back to the US is wild!' and another offered a humorous plea: 'noooo you can't be moving back to the US....not permanently anyway, we need your banter here.
