American Horror Story season 11 ending explained: Who is Big Daddy?
certainly was a season of television. We'll give you that. But opinions on how this season actually fared vary wildly.
yet, which is absolutely worth commending. But how did this all play out in the end? Which hot gays survived and which didn't? And most crucially of all, who is Big Daddy?American Horror StoryTheo's funeral kicks things off, but Theo himself sticks around still, playing-like ghost who shows Sam a glimpse into his future. As you might expect, that future is all kinds of bad, full of disease and grimy hospitals, not to mention angry exes who lash out at the pain he caused them.
The rest of this brutal episode then jumps forward to Patrick in 1987 where he's laid up in hospital. The disease that's landed him there has now detached the retinas from both of his eyes, making him permanently blind. Adam arrives just in time to see her body taken out on a stretcher, and while the police tell him she died of"natural causes", anyone who's watched even one episode ofBillie Lourd's character isn't the only one who dies at the end either. Following Patrick's tragic end in the last episode, the finale follows the rest of Gino's life as he manages his disease and staves off Big Daddy for as long as he can.
This seems to confirm that he didn't really exist in reality at all. Instead, Big Daddy was either some kind of supernatural being or perhaps something even less tangible, a symbol of AIDS, homophobia, and death .
