American tourists Amber Kacherian and Jared Gregersen tried out British staples during their trip - but it was a popular coffee shop which impressed most of all
American tourists Amber Kacherian and Jared Gregersen spent a month exploring the UK, immersing themselves in everything from the bustling London Underground to the popular pub chain Wetherspoons. However, when it came to food, it was not Wetherspoons that left a lasting impression - but rather the British coffee chain Costa.
Fortunately, this led them to stumble upon a nearby Costa at a service station that was still open. As it turned out, they were in for a treat, discovering some of the best food they'd had during their UK visit. Meanwhile, Jared raved about his Sticky Toffee Bread, calling it the "best food he's eaten in the last 48 hours". Amber also sampled a bite, agreeing it was "actually delicious" and noting the caramel sauce inside.
Summing up their Costa experience, Amber said: "I have to agree with Jared. This is probably some of the best food we've had since we've been here. So our random 1am gas station food is the best food we've had on this trip so far. If this isn't authentic, eating at a gas station at 1am, I don't know what is. This is the most authentic UK experience we could possibly have.
