Firefighters pull Amigo free he fell into a disused storm drain in his Market Drayton field.
Amigo became submerged in mud when his rear legs fell into an old storm drain that was covered with leaves, Shropshire Fire and Rescue said.
With the help of a vet and a large line Amigo was finally freed, after being sedated so as not to injure himself.Firefighters used straps and lines to help get the donkey out of the pit."Thankfully, he was none the worse for his ordeal, and we're sure he was happy to be free again," the fire service said.
