The boxer's multi-million pound project is finally finished
Amir Khan has shared stunning images of his long-awaited luxury wedding venue in Bolton . The Bolton -born boxing champion's multi-million pound project has been in the making for more than a decade but has faced severe delays as costs have spiralled.
Initial construction on the site was completed in 2015 but it has since been hit by delays and even damaged by a fire. Earlier this year, it was revealed that the lavish wedding venue was preparing for a 'grand opening' and was said to be taking bookings.Mr Khan has now shared images of the venue on social media. In a post on X this week, he wrote: "After blood sweat and tears we present to you #thebalmayna.
Last month, Mr Khan declared on Instagram that his Bolton wedding and banquet hall is now open. The Balmayna - named after the Arabic word for 'enamelled' - is a project between weddings and events company Excellency Midlands and Mr Khan.
