Leeds United are on the march
Ethan Ampadu insists there is still a long way to go in the Championship title race, despite seeing them go top of the table after beating Stoke City. Earlier on Boxing Day, promotion rivals Sheffield United and Burnley faced off at Bramall Lane with the latter coming out on top.
Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: "Great and it is always nice when you're on the end of a good win. There is still a long way to go but we're happy with tonight. We knew it would be a difficult game." After being played through on goal, the chance looked to have gone when Viktor Johansson clawed the ball away but Piroe stayed in control and fired home off the woodwork from a narrow angle. "I saw the short corner open so I thought this is not a chance I'm going to miss so I had to take it."
