Members of the Anchorage Fire Department said they were able to save a person from a zero visibility trailer fire earlier this month due to exemplary teamwork.

When they arrived, crews searched the building until they found the victim passed out in the bedroom. Emergency medical firefighters say that the person likely inhaled a lot of smoke before they arrived. The firefighters who responded are hesitant to call what they did heroic; most of them said that they did what their job required of them.
“We were able to really achieve what we wanted,” Luna said. “Which recognized how bad she was, worked really well together in order to ultimately maybe change the course of where she was heading.”
