A man accused of making false bomb threats earlier this week against several federal buildings downtown was indicted by a federal grand jury Friday.

ANCHORAGE, Alaska - at the James Fitzgerald Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse on West 8th Avenue, between A and C Streets, as well as six other locations around town.

Anchorage police arrested Pearce on-site Tuesday as the buildings were evacuated. He was charged with one count of a bomb hoax at a federal building, and could face up to five years in prison and a fine of $250,000. An alleged bomb threat made Tuesday at the Anchorage Federal Building forced the evacuation of employees and resulted in an arrest, according to authorities.Pearce has a lengthy criminal history, including eight former criminal cases listed against him in online court records, including theft, criminal trespassing, escaping an electronic monitoring device, and reckless endangerment.
