Andrew Cain claimed the British and Commonwealth bantamweight titles against Ashley Lane on Saturday night
Andrew Cain has set his sights on following in the footsteps of Nick Ball and conquering the world after he became Liverpool’s latest British champion. Cain produced the performance of his professional career as he emphatically stopped Ashley Lane to claim the British and Commonwealth bantamweight titles on Saturday night.
“Nick has conquered the world, and I am not far behind him.” Cain would also welcome a huge Merseyside showdown against former world champion Paul Butler or even another domestic dust up with Charlie Edwards. Asked about fighting Butler or Edwards next, he replied: “Any of them names, I would take them in a heartbeat. I would fight them now. I would go back and fight them now.
