Self-described misogynist Andrew Tate - a champion of Donald Trump - and his brother are on a private plane to Florida, according to Romanian media.
Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan have landed in Florida in the US after a travel ban in Romania was lifted, a spokesperson for the influencers has said. A Romanian official had earlier reported that the brothers had boarded a private plane in the eastern European country this morning. A source told Reuters they will return to Romania at the end of March to fulfil legal obligations.
Andrew Tate also appeared in the UK version of Big Brother in 2016. Self-described misogynists, their views - which are often widely shared on social media platforms such as TikTok and X - have been heavily criticised, particularly as they have a predominately young, male audience. A number of banned Twitter accounts have been reinstated by Elon Musk. Tate was among those brought back on 18 November 2022 after Musk took over and rebranded it X.
