Victoria's Early Childhood and Pre-Prep Minister has revealed her disappointment at a Melbourne council's resolution to axe almost all its kindergarten services.

Knox City Council announced on Tuesday it had decided not to continue offering standalone services at more than 20 locations from January 2025.

Minister Ingrid Stitt told reporters on Wednesday:"It's an incredibly disappointing decision by Knox Council". "Knox are going to have to be accountable back to their community about how their community feels about this decision.
