Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham took to BBC Breakfast to comment on the new footage that has emerged after a police officer was previously seen kicking a citizen in the face
BBC Breakfast viewers have slammed the programme and Mayor Andy Burnham over a "car crash" interview about the recent footage leading up to an incident at Manchester Airport.
However, many viewers quickly took to social media to criticise the Mayor and the discussion. One viewer vented on X: "Burnham can't even backpedal with any sort of competency. Car crash interview", reports the Express. Burnham joined host Ben Boulos on the programme to discuss the new evidence that has now emerged. The presenter kicked off the discussion, asking him: "What do you think this new footage tells us that we didn't know before?"
In the initial footage, an armed officer is seen kicking a man in the head and stamping on it. The officer has since been suspended and an investigation is currently underway.
