Britain's Andy Murray has not made a decision yet on whether he will play at Wimbledon, says Davis Cup captain Leon Smith.
Britain's Andy Murray has not yet made a decision on whether he will play at Wimbledon, his Davis Cup captain Leon Smith has said.Murray was forced to retire from his second-round match at Queen's on Wednesday after experiencing what he described as a "loss of strength, coordination and control" in his right leg. However, BBC Sport understands Murray has yet to make a decision after receiving conflicting advice - something Smith confirmed.
"My understanding is he is yet to make a decision on whether he is able to play and that there is no clear consensus among the experts he has consulted," BBC tennis correspondent Russell Fuller told 5 Live. "Even if he is not fully fit, would he see that as an appropriate way to bring the curtain down on his career?Murray said earlier in June that retiring at Wimbledon or the Olympics would be "fitting", given his success in both events.
