On 19 November, Variety broke the news that the star of Maria – who is currently in the midst of an Oscar campaign for playing legendary soprano Maria Callas in Pablo Larraín’s sun-soaked elegy, and will, barring disaster, be on the Best Actress shortlist come 2025 – had signed onto her next project.
