Oregon State pitcher Bridger Holmes, drafted by the Los Angeles Angels in the seventh round (202nd overall) of the 2024 MLB Draft, signed a contract on Thursday.
Holmes was the fourth Oregon State player selected in this year's draft. The first three were Travis Bazzana , right-handed pitcher Aiden May , and right-handed pitcher Jacob Kmatz .The North Bend, Oregon native had a fantastic season for the Beavers. He transferred from Feather RIver Junior College and was named an All-American by four different outlets. He was also an All-Pac-12 first-team selection.
He finished with 10 K and didn't give up a hit until the 5th. Looks like Oregon State found a gem out of Feather River Community College in Calif.The right-hander is a special pitcher. He releases from a sidearm slot and his slider is what put him on OSU's radar.
