Norwich boss David Wagner doubts Angus Gunn will be fit for Scotland duty in this month’s closing Euro 2024 qualifying double header against Georgia and Norway.
Clarke will name his squad next week ahead of the trip to Tblisi on November 16 with Norway bringing the curtain down on the campaign at Hampden three days later. And Gunn’s injury could open the door to Liam Kelly and Zander Clark, both of whom made their Scotland debuts in the 4-1 friendly defeat to France last month.
And Wagner fears the international double header will come too soon for the 27-year-old. He said: “No, I can't see this, I can't see that he will be ready immediately from the first day in the international break, because then he would be with us for Cardiff. “At the minute I can't see that he will go to Scotland's international team because he will not be ready to train, and then it makes no sense.”
