Seven protesters from the Animal Rising group allegedly disturbed service at Cail Bruich

Animal rights activists allegedly stormed a Michelin-Star restaurant in Glasgow tonight over claims they refuse to cater for vegans. Seven people from the Animal Rising group allegedly disturbed service at Cail Bruich on Great Western Road at 7.30pm.

Police were reportedly called to the plush eatery and five of the activists are understood to have been arrested and taken into custody. "We can do so much better than places like Cail Bruich that serve excessively expensive meals and refuse to cater for vegans in the midst of our cost of living and environmental crises.

Other luxury restaurants in Southampton, Bristol, Birmingham, Lancaster, and London have also been the location of “sit-ins” by supporters of Animal Rising this evening, including Salt Bae’s flagship London restaurant that serves steak coated in gold costing upwards of £700 each.
