A international animal rights group has sent singer Lily Allen a mechanical dog and a letter begging her not to get another live pup.

The singer said she was left distraught after when the little dog chewed her passport and visa and those of her children Ethel, 12, and Marnie, 11. The situation meant the girls who live in New York with Lily and her husband, could not return to London to visit their dad until new passports were sorted.
