Actor Anna Faris joins TODAY to talk about her latest movie “My Spy: The Eternal City,” becoming a stepmom and her love of the Olympic Games — both summer and winter! She sticks around to play a game of Spy the Lie with Hoda Kotb and Justin Sylvester.
Anna Faris says she found herself 'stumbling through' her new role when she first became a stepmother. Faris, 47, who stars in the new spy comedy sequel 'My Spy: The Eternal City,' spoke with Hoda Kotb and guest co-host Justin Sylvester on TODAY's fourth hour July 15 about how she adjusted to being a stepmom after marrying husband Michael Barrett in 2021. Barrett has two children, a 20-year-old daughter and a 17-year-old son, according to Faris, from a previous marriage.
'That’s kind of one example of sort of my stumbling through that position.' Faris has gradually grown into the role. Hoda noted how a friend of hers who is also a stepmom said she tried to be patient, waiting for the children to bond with her on their time. 'That’s really good advice because eventually I did ,' Faris said. 'It was an uphill battle.' Faris is also a mom to her son Jack, 11, whom she co-parents with ex-husband Chris Pratt.
