An anonymous donor has stepped in to save a Christmas party for families in need after it was cancelled due to financial constraints. The party was organized by John, who runs a free caravan for families seeking respite. Rising energy and water bills had put pressure on John, but he refused to charge families for their stay. The donation of £5k has allowed the party to go ahead, ensuring that families can make lasting memories.
This included cancelling their beloved Christmas party until a kind anonymous donor handed over £5k to save the event.
“Everywhere is probably feeling the same and I was so grateful for people who do help us stay afloat. ‘Stretched to the Limit: Scotland’s Third Sector and the cost of living crisis’ found 84% of organisations experienced increased demand for services, 76% faced higher bills in general, and 72% specifically higher energy bills.
