Spirit Airlines, which currently flies nonstop to just three cities from San Diego, is adding five more that will be phased in, starting in April.
Spirit Airlines, which currently flies nonstop to only three cities from San Diego International Airport, is poised to start flying to five more, just in time for summer travel. The ultra low-cost carrier announced this week that beginning in April, May and June, it will begin nonstop service to Baltimore, Houston, Portland, Sacramento, and Salt Lake City.
“Spirit has served the San Diego community for a long time, and we’re excited to expand this summer and make it easier for guests across our network to visit the ‘Birthplace of California’ and connect with family and friends.” Most of the new destinations already have relatively robust service from other airlines.
