After Trump, who arrived in NY last night, attacked E Jean Carroll again on Truth Social today, her lawyer Roberta Kaplan says, "We have said several times since the last jury verdict in January that all options were on the table. And that remains true today -- all options are on…A jury awarded $83.3 million to Carroll in January after Trump’s repeated attacks against her. It came after a $5 million verdict last year. Trump is currently in debt to her for a total of $88.3 million.
It was the second time in nine months that a civil jury returned a verdict related to Carroll’s claim that a flirtatious, chance encounter with Trump in 1996 at Bergdorf Goodman’s Fifth Avenue store ended violently. She said Trump slammed her against a dressing room wall, pulled down her tights and forced himself on her.
In 2023, a different jury awarded Carroll $5 million.
