Jewish Australians should feel safe in the classroom and in their neighbourhoods, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese says.

“My government will always stand for the freedom of all Australians to express and explore their faith. To strengthen their sense of identity through their faith. And to teach their children about their faith, and the faith of their ancestors.

There was appreciation that the government had announced its intention to introduce anti-doxxing laws, after Jewish Australians working in the arts and academia had their personal details published online by pro-Palestinian activists, and extra funding had been provided for synagogue security.
