Anthony Joshua reveals he may not have taken up boxing without Mike Tyson's relatable story
“Due to the fact that he was a robber and a troublesome kid up until the age of 13 and due to his environment and the way they managed to build his mindset. It wasn’t just his physicality, it was the way they changed his mindset and he managed to become heavyweight champion of the world.“It showed if you apply yourself to something you can do anything and that’s why Mike became my favourite because of his mindset.
“The way they moulded this kid, he wasn’t a child prodigy boxer, he was never this young kid who was pencilled in to become heavyweight champion of the world. “He was pencilled on to be going to jail or end up dead, but he ended up changing his narrative due to determination, and obviously meeting the right people, and he became the youngest champion ever.
