It is hoped the initiative will make people feel safer.
A scheme aimed at improving safety in an area known for burglary is being rolled out by the police and a residents' association.
The project includes distributing more than 200 crime prevention packs to residents, allowing them to mark their belongings with a forensic liquid to help police identify stolen items. A "study tour" in September brought residents, businesses and organisations together to identify actions to make people feel safer.
The campaign will use social media advertising to encourage young people to report incidents of violence.
