The man picked up the movie score after a fellow car booter rejected it and told the show he had just got lucky
An Antiques Roadshow guest said he "got lucky" when he discovered the value of a Hollywood film score he bought for £5. Sunday's show from Wollaton Hall in Nottingham saw the man bring the piece of music along to be looked at.
The guest brought the score in a "scruffy folder" which he told the expert was how he had bought it. He told how he had been at a car boot sale when he noticed it. "He didn't want it so I gladly took it. I had a quick look through and thought for what was in the box it was certainly looked worthwhile for a fiver."
The expert said the score was by American composer Bernard Herrmann, best known for his iconic score for the Alfred Hitchcock Psycho move. He also composed the music for Orson Welles' Citizen Kane and TV's The Twilight Zone among many others.
