The guest was blown away by the estimation of his decades-old Rolex watch
An Antiques Roadshow guest was so blown away by the valuation of their item that they appeared to pass out during their appearance on the popular show.
During an episode recorded in Florida, the owner explained that he bought the watch by mail order for $345.97 - more than four decades ago, after hearing that the watches were great for Scuba diving. Luckily, the watch owner didn't wear the timepiece in the sea and instead kept it in its box with the original paperwork and reference number on the back.
He said: "Your watch is more special - it says Oyster on it. They did that for an extremely short period of time. We refer to that as a mark two dial. This particular model, being marked Oyster is extremely, extremely rare."The owner was so stunned that he pretended to faint on the floor, leaving onlookers laughing in the background.
