Antiques Roadshow expert Cristian Beadman was left wowed by the 'extraordinary' collection of sketches, with the guest admitting the true value had taken his breath away
An Antiques Roadshow guest was left gobsmacked when he realised the true value of his father's unique design sketches. Recorded at Firstsite in Colchester, this particular episode showcased vehicle specialist Cristian Beadman evaluating a set of illustrations drafted by the guest's father while working for Ford Motor Company back in the 1950s.
On reviewing the sketches, Beadman observed, "So this is in the heyday of those huge flying Fords with the big engines and the fins and the wings and all the rest of it." He added in awe, "I don't know how he did it. And if you look at the hubcaps, you can see that he's put reflected landscapes with the hubcap, distorting the light with an airbrush. It's absolutely incredible.", reports the Express.
