Recent figures show a promising decrease in the behaviour across Merseyside
New figures show that, in the first six months of this year, antisocial behaviour has decreased across Merseyside by 6.4%.At its core, antisocial behaviour is an act which causes distress to those who are simply trying to go about their everyday lives, including street drinking, drug dealing, firework misuse, threats, and intimidation.
Immediate Justice is designed to reassure victims that antisocial behaviour is treated seriously and with urgency, and for perpetrators to recognise the impact of their behaviour on their victims and the community. “But the drop in antisocial behaviour even outside those hotspot patrol trial areas is really encouraging for our communities. We continue our commitment to neighbourhood policing and visibility while introducing with new ideas and initiatives to target antisocial behaviour, and so far, it seems like people in Merseyside are benefiting.”
