That doesn't make for a very happy birthday 😢

Antonio Banderas has received less than ideal news on his 60th birthday as the actor confirmed he has contracted coronavirus.

The Spanish actor took to Twitter to reveal the news as he has now been forced to push back the celebrations he had planned to mark the milestone. He wrote: ‘I want to make public that today, August 10, I am forced to celebrate my 60th birthday following quarantine after having tested positive for the Covid-19 disease, caused by the coronavirus.’

made it clear he is confident he’ll make a full recovery soon as he tried to ease concern for his health. He continued: ‘I’d like to add that I’m feeling relatively well, just a bit more tired than usual, and confident that I will recover as soon as possible. ‘I hope allow me to overcome the infectious process that I suffer and that it is affecting so many people around the planet.’
