Some fans have been wondering how the crowds will 'fit into' the AO Arena space
Take That moved their Manchester homecoming shows to the AO Arena last night, amid ongoing technical issues at the new Co-op Live Arena which was due to host the gigs. Take That fans expressed relief that the gigs would still be going ahead on what is the band's eagerly-anticipated This Life tour.
In comparison, The Co-op Live Arena's full capacity will be 23,500 when fully opened, which will make it the biggest indoor arena in Europe. A spokeswoman for AO Arena has today confirmed how the new ticketing will work for those heading to the Take That gigs. Take That announced they were moving their five May gigs to the AO Arena on Thursday night, after a week of chaos at the as-yet-to-open Co-op Live. The venue at Eastlands was forced to cancel its opening night gig with A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie after a piece of air-conditioning unit fell from the roof during the soundcheck.
