Police have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to trace
The incident took place on the corner of Abingdon Street at just past 11pm on November 9. Police say the victim was assaulted and had his phone, wallet and cash stolen.
It is estimated that between £100 and £200 was taken. His credit card was later used in a local store.Police are investigating the incident and have launched a CCTV appeal of a man they want to trace in connection with the incident. A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said: "Do you recognise this man? We want to trace him in connection with a robbery in Blackpool town centre.
"It happened on the corner of Abingdon Street, at 11.05pm on Wednesday, November 9. The suspect assaulted the victim and took his mobile phone, wallet and between £100 and £200 cash.Anyone who recognises the suspect, witnessed the incident or has information about it, is asked to contact 101 – quoting log 1620 of November 9, 2022.
