Ex-pupils of a Shropshire school have been getting in touch with staff to share their memories, after two vintage photographs were posted on social media.

One ex-pupil of Buildwas Primary Academy , Joyce Mitchell, was scrolling through her Facebook feed when she caught sight of some familiar faces.

She got in touch with staff at Buildwas Academy – and became the first ex-pupil to go back to the school to share the story of her life with the school’s current pupils. Commenting on the assembly, Mr Millington said: “We had the assembly in our school hall, which is the one original part of the school left that dates back to when it opened in 1855.
