"Animal cruelty brings shame to the fair, and we are fortunate that the overwhelming majority of Gypsy and traveller people have very high standards of horse care," the leaders added in a joint statement.The RSPCA said of the 438 interventions, five investigations were ongoing.RSPCAThe fair, which ends on Wednesday, is unique in Europe and in its 248th year.in the weeks leading up to the event.
The force said the men were released on bail, with conditions not to enter the county unless to answer bail.Det Supt Dan St Quintin said it was "important to note" the majority of arrests were linked to action being taken on the roads, which included vehicles suspected of being stolen elsewhere in the country.
