As I pass signs in front of shops, affixed to a fences, scrawled on the ground and flashing up on digital advertising screens referring to our “NHS heroes”, I have begun to feel uneasy. NHS staff, especially those working on the frontline in care homes, hospitals and ambulances, are brave and certainly command admiration. And when things looked like they may get out of control a few weeks back, keeping morale boosted at all costs was vital.
