Ariana Grande kicked off her European leg of her Sweetener World Tour at The O2 Arena in London last night with a myriad of rainbows, confetti and back-to-back bangers.
The 26-year-old proved she’s a force to be reckoned with as she opened her no-nonsense two-hour-long set with Raindrops before slipping into God Is A Woman and giving us major New Testament vibes as she was joined by 12 dancers at a dining table. Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I’m Bored cemented the end of the seamless grand entrance and an adorable baby Ariana home video signalled that the second part had arrived. Video interludes were weaved throughout the evening, with the infamous ‘I Have Feelings’ scene from First Wives Club flashing up on-screen giving a callback to the mid-90s.
The night was filled to the brim with her iconic discography and flawless dance routines and Ariana made sure that she kept her talking to a minimum. A woman of few words, she only addressed the crowd a few times to thank them for coming and to express how excited she was to be in the capital. We have to stan a queen who makes sure her fans get their money’s worth.
