Forecasters with the National Weather Service say people in the Phoenix area can expect to have a hot start to their week on Monday.An Excessive Heat Warning is in effect for the Phoenix area, as well as most of Maricopa County and portions of Pinal County and other parts of western Arizona. As of Monday morning, the warning is expected to last until 8:00 p.m.Temperature-wise, Phoenix could see a high of 114°F on Monday, according to the National Weather Service.
